First Reconciliation/First Communion
Sacramental preparation will take place in coordination between St. Paul Parochial School and St. Paul Parish. Communicants will take part in classes during the day at St. Paul Parochial from 11:30-12 (beginning in January) and once a month on Sundays with their families led by Father Christopher and Mrs. Abesa. If you are interested in having your child receive these sacraments please contact St. Paul Parochial School at 503-633-4622.
Confirmation
Confirmation classes will begin this September for students who are 12 years old and older and who have already received First Communion. Students who have not yet received Baptism or First Communion but are interested in preparing for Confirmation are encouraged to speak with Fr. Christopher. Arrangements can be made to prepare for Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation while attending the Confirmation classes. Classes will meet twice a month and will run from September through April, with no classes during the summer months. Our program follows a two-year (A/B year) curriculum. This means that students may begin in either year and will still complete all 24 lessons of the Confirmation journey over the two-year cycle. We warmly invite all eligible students and families to participate in this important step of faith and spiritual growth. We will also be holding a parent meeting in early June to go over scheduling details (date and time to be announced). OCIA
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CATHOLIC? - Do you know someone who is? OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, formally RCIA) classes will begin on Thursday, September 18th from 6-7:00 PM in the rectory. This course will teach and prepare adults about the Catholic faith and prepare them to fully enter into the Church. A team of local parishioners will teach the classes, overseen by Father Christopher. If you have any questions please call the parish office at 503-633-4611, or email [email protected]. A sign up sheet is in the back of the church. **New candidates are welcome to join thru the end of September**
