Volunteers needed for Church cleaning, ushers and Mass check in - A few volunteers are still needed to help at Mass on Sunday mornings and Saturday evenings. If you can help please call the parish office at 503-633-4611. Here are the areas in which we could use more volunteers so that we can form a rotation of helpers: -Saturday evening cleaner- spray the church with disinfectant after Mass. This takes approximately 10 minutes using our electrostatic sprayer (very similar to a backpack sprayer). -Sunday morning check in (need 1-2 more people)- volunteer person to check off names of attendees. You would arrive at 8:30 and check off names from a master list until Mass begins. -Sunday morning ushers (need 2 per Mass) - assist in keeping a 6 foot distance between people during communion. -Sunday morning cleaner (need 1-2 more people)- spray the church with disinfectant after Mass. Parishes of the Archdiocese have always been very generous in their response to the mission needs of the world. This year is a particularly difficult one for giving because of the COVID pandemic and the wildfires and it may not be possible for some of you to assist at this time. We understand but are going ahead with all the regular collections this year because the recipients, including missionaries, need help more than ever. Please do whatever you can in spirit of solidarity with the church worldwide. *Envelopes for this collection will be available after Mass at each church exit. You may return these to the regular collection basket. Please be sure to write World Mission Sunday in the memo line of your check.* LouAnn Baty Smith passed away on September 14th. Please pray for her and her family.
