Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus,
Our St. Paul Parish community, together with the SPPS community, is filled with great joy and gratitude as we celebrate the successful and beautiful thanksgiving of my Priestly Silver Jubilee.
I was truly blessed to be joined by 22 priests from the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon, along with the Most Rev. Peter Smith, Auxiliary Bishop, and Msgr. Joseph Betchart, Vicar for Clergy. In a special way, the presence of 25 priests together made this celebration deeply meaningful, marking the fullness of my 25 years of priestly ministry. It was truly a beautiful and grace-filled moment.
What made this celebration especially memorable was the love, unity, and dedication of our entire parish community. Every aspect—liturgy, decoration, music, food, and all the arrangements—was carried out with great care and generosity. Your planning and execution reflected not only hard work but also deep faith and commitment. I sincerely wish I could thank each one of you by name, but space does not allow it. Please know that I carry each of you in my heart and in my prayers. I am deeply grateful for your love, support, and kind appreciation. Indeed, God has done wonderful and marvelous things for us, and we rejoice in His blessings.
The Bishop and the Vicar for Clergy expressed their happiness and appreciation for your active participation and involvement. As a parish community, you have given a strong and positive witness to the Archdiocese of your love for your priests and your support for their ministry.
I would also like to mention the success of our Community Breakfast held last Sunday, April 19. I was truly touched to see the commitment, hard work, unity, and support of our people. It was inspiring to witness how beautifully you came together in service and fellowship.
We are truly blessed by God, and I feel personally blessed to serve such a good and committed community. Through your actions, you are living and witnessing the values of Christ. May God continue to bless our unity, love, and spirit of service.
May God bless each one of you abundantly. I humbly ask you to continue to pray for me and for my priestly ministry.
With gratitude and prayers,
Fr. Christopher Siluvai Rayan
